On January 20th, Katie performed and recorded the sixth and final concert of Mozart in Schloss Mirabell. The project comprises the complete piano sonatas and fantasies of Mozart performed in the Marmorsaal of the historic Schloss Mirabell in Salzburg, Austria.

The seven part DW documentary “The World Without Beethoven” which takes a look at the influence Ludwig van Beethoven had on popular culture, won the award for Best Documentary at the prestigious 2022 Internaional Classical Music Awards (ICMA). On July 1st, Katie will perform an open-air concert at Hafalekar on Innsbruck’s famous Nordkette mountain, presented by Innsbruck Tourismus. The piano will be delivered by helicopter at an elevation of 2,334 meters!
Katie is launching “Mozart Snapshots” a weekly video series about Mozart and his hometown! The series is a collaboration with Colorado Public Radio, and offers an insider’s glimpse into the life of “the miracle which God let be born in Salzburg.” Series starts Wednesday, March 9th.
Over the course of 2022, Katie will record the complete major piano works of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart in a series of six recitals live from the historic Schloss Mirabell in Mozart’s hometown of Salzburg, Austria. Recordings will be aired during “Midday Mozart” on Colorado Public Radio, and each concert will be presented virtually. Check the concert calendar for dates.
On June 11, Katie will perform at the Liszt Festival in Raiding, Austria, the hometown of Franz Liszt. Program will include works by Liszt, Mozart, Bernstein and Gershwin. Information at Liszt Festival Raiding.
On September 24th, Katie will perform in the Iffeldorfer Meisterkonzerte recital series in Bavaria, Germany. The concert will be recorded by the Bayerischen Rundfunk BR Klassik.

The Berliner Meisterschallplatten label has released a hand signed limited edition direct-to-disc LP. Katie’s Gershwin recital was captured directly onto a lacquer disc from a single take without any possibility for editing or enhancement of any kind.
